Very Happy Ok now that MATT is blaming Trevor for his incompetance, whos drawn where and should you have done better. An excuse thread if you like.

Rnd 1 - HLF - Pear Tree P2, felt I couldn't compete with Nick on P4, hoped for 2nd in section got it. Very Happy

Rnd 2 - Monks1 - P42, concerned that Mr.Kell was in my section on P40 and that Aigy had P43 with P44 not in. It fished harder than I thought but satisfied with 2nd. Very Happy

Rnd 3 - Monks2 - P65, up against end peg 66 with Woodie on it, kneck and kneck until the last hour when Col pulled away, disappointed with 2nd after 5 hours but would have taken it at the start. Sad

Rnd 4  missed Crying or Very sad

Rnd 5 - HLF - Bramley P8, not the end of island draw I wanted, Rusty was on B9 and told me how he had caught 150lbs the Monday before and with Mr.Atlas on P6 who had won his section in Rnd 1 from P20 I had to fish well. I didn't, beaten both sides by better anglers on the day who were single minded and had it sorted 3rd Crying or Very sad

Rnd 6 - HLF - Nicks..... a known flyer I hope P8,P9,P32 will do.

Go on Mark, I will take the bait………  Wink

Round 1 Peartree, average peg8? The better end of the lake but not as good as the gap pegs at this time of year. 2nd on lake, 5 points, very happy with performance.

Round 2 Monk 1, crap peg 11? 2nd in section, 4 points. Wrong end of the wrong bank, a no hope peg but 2nd in section and happy with performance. Beaten by Rusty I think who did well further down the bank.

Round 3 missed but knew I was leaving myself with little chance.

Round 4 Nicks, crap peg 6, 4 points, another no hope peg at this time of year and with 8 & 9 in my section with a top class angler on 8 I had no chance. Couldn’t have caught any more from this peg.

Round 5 Peartree, crap peg 2 with good anglers on the better gap pegs again. Should have come second in section but Ian Carley did a fine job and did me by just over 1lb. Worked hard to put fish in the net and I doubt many anglers could have done much better.

So 5 matches, 1 decent peg and have worked hard to take as many points as each peg was worth!

It’s just bloody embarrassing to be honest, 10th in the table  Shocked

Mark, Mr Atlas? Charles Atlas, your showing your age! surley you can do better? I like Jonathan or Jonny  it suits me Very Happy
Round-1. Bramley 20, I thought it was the better of the 2 pegs left in the hat when I drew (you had the other Hathers). I was happy to win my section as I wanted a good start, but I fathed around changing tactiks and should have beaten Ian Carley to win the lake  Smile
Round-2 Monks lake 1 peg 13, everyone told me it was shite. I certainly made a shite job of fishing my peg. I feel I could have taken 4 points away instead of 3 but all credit to Matt and Rusty as they put me to shame from either side. I would say I have no one to blame other than my BAD ANGLING.
Round-3 Monks lake 2 peg 70, everyone told me it was shite Shocked . I fished a better match and was well up with the pace for the first half of the contest. I then wound myself up with the antics of the angler on the end peg to my left whom I thought was fishing in a manner that was not in the spirit of the competition. This angler won the section. I ended up with 3 points and that was all I was worth on the day.
I honestly thought (prayed) I would be able to drop one of my 3 point rounds. WRONG! as I missed round 4 with car troubles :
Round-5 Bramley peg 6, I did not fancy this draw at all.I thought I had at least the two end pegs to beat (one of these being my old friend from Monk lakes 2 Evil or Very Mad I thought bollocks put your head down and show them what you are made of Wink .I won my section Smile  winning the match to boot was an added bonus Very Happy .
Round-6, I will be trying to prove a point either way! so I desire an absolute flyer but in the same section as Paul K, Ian C, Nick G, and Collin W Twisted Evil

Jonny I think you proved a point last Sunday?

Maybe it was because you ditched the red clothing  Laughing  Shocked

If a change in colour changed Jonny's luck then I might turn up in my away kit next Sunday  Very Happy

Trouble is my away kit is the same as my birthday kit  Laughing

I have to agree that Peartree 2 ain't the best place to draw in the warmer weather.
